–Unless otherwise notified by the Event Organiser during the Race Briefing on Thursday, swimming wetsuits are mandatory for open water with water temperature under 15,9ºC. Between 15,9ºC and 20ºC it will be optional for distances of 750 and 1500 meters and up to 22ºC for distances of 1900 and 3800 meters. Above these temperatures, the use of wetsuit is prohibited. It is the Participant’s responsibility to provide and use a wetsuit which complies with FETRI rules and regulations. Participants without a wetsuit will not be allowed to compete. Link to FETRI rules
– goggles are necessary in all open water swims. Polarised goggles are recommended to reduce glare and increase visual acuity. It may be worth bringing a clear-lensed pair if conditions are less than ideal.
– the swim hat issued by Long Course Weekend and provided at the race number pick up must be worn. If you wish to wear two swim hats, the issued swim hate MUST be worn on top.
– Timing chip must be worn on the OUTSIDE of the wetsuit on the left ankle.

CANNOT BE WORN without a doctor’s note. Webbed gloves are not permitted.
